About

Audeant

Audeant, a latin term describing the feeling “to want very much,” is expressed by the winery’s motto: may they dare, may they venture, may they risk. It is a bold sentiment, born from a deep love of wine and the ambition to make it a legacy.

A young winery, its inaugural vintage was 2016. The winery’s owner, Teal Walker, has a background in tech and business. She and her husband Dan had been collecting wine for many years, and loosely dreamed of being involved further in the industry somehow. They met Andrew Riechers while visiting Antica Terra in 2015, who was then the assistant winemaker under Maggie Harrison. A shared love of the culture of wine and the region of Oregon bonded their vision, and Audeant’s first vintage followed the next year.
