Brother-sister team Guillaume and Sarah Glantenay are the sixth generation to run this family domaine based in Volnay. And although their father Pierre officially handed over the reins in 2013, he continues to help look after the domaine’s eight hectares, four of which are in Volnay proper with the remainder spread between Pommard and Chambolle- Musigny.

Robert Parker listed Clos des Papes as one of the Top 155 Producers in the World.

The wines of Domaine Glantenay exhibit great elegance and suppleness, thanks in part to Guillaume’s refined approach to winemaking. He uses, for example, 15-20% whole-bunch fruit to lift the perfumes and ages in low toasted oak, further highlighting the delicate aromas of his wines. And to preserve the estate’s terroir, the vineyards are sustainably managed without the use of pesticides or herbicides. Between its outstanding vineyard holdings and Guillaume’s innate talent, this is a domaine to watch, and at present, offers some of the best value wines anywhere in Burgundy!
