Christophe Baron founded Cayuse Vineyards after training in Champagne and Burgundy and bringing Northern Rhône sensibilities to Walla Walla. Inspired by cobble‑strewn soils reminiscent of Rhone, he planted the estate in 1997 and named it “Cayuse,” referencing a local Native American tribe and the French Cailloux (stones). Armada Vineyard Syrah combines expressive power with an almost weightless elegance—rare in American Syrah—and is aged at least 30 months in Rostaing puncheons, one new. The wine is the most brooding, Côte‑Rôtie–like of Cayuse’s lineup, offering aromas of smoke, game, cured meat, garrigue, lavender, and blueberry. Available vintages: 2009, 2012, 2017, 2019, 2020.
Wine offer is valid until 27 Sep.
