Poisot Pernand Vergelesses 2018

This is an absolute bargain especially when you compare it to better known appellations. Planted just above 1er Cru vines on clay-limestone soils with yellow marls on the highest part of the En Caradeux slope across from the Corton hill, home to the Grand Crus Corton and Corton Charlemagne. This is a mineral-driven Pernard Vergelesses, with notes of lime zest and stone fruit, this wine is just full of poise yet very subtle. It's worth noting that despite being an under-the-radar appellation, it's worth bearing in mind there are Pernard Vergelesses out there that goes upwards of over a thousand hkd per bottle!
