Don't let the punchy price tag scare you - this is a stunning Cote Rotie that is concentrated but so elegant you will definitely have a tough time identifying in a blind tasting. The alcohol is an impressive 12.5% only! It comes from a small organically farmed plot within the Cote Blonde, with full stem fermentations using indigenous yeasts in barrels, and very tiny amounts of sulphur. The result is a lean, pure, juicy Cote Rotie that is just so refreshing and with exceptional balance between fruit, alcohol, tannins and acidity. If you're looking for massive, extracted and full-bodied Syrah, then look away. This is juicy, complex, elegant and has such amazing texture.
