Guy Roulot inherited his family's small domaine in Meursault. These combined with the parcels acquired through his marriage of Genevieve Coche are some of the finest throughout the appellation. During his time at the domaine, Guy pioneered single vineyard (lieu-dit) bottlings, an innovation for a small domaine in this appellation, which is the foundation for the terroir driven excellence we see throughout the wines today.
After Guy's sudden death in 1982 his son Jean Marc left a career in acting to carry on his father's life work. Jean Marc continues to raise the bar of excellence & has gone on to define the Roulot style as brilliantly intense & chiseled Chardonnay.
